Event: WHO AM I? In a world of comparison

Discovering Your Purpose

Big Idea: Knowing who you are helps you understand why you’re here.

Big Idea: Comparison is the thief of joy—and clarity. Be who God made YOU to be.

Key Scriptures:

  • Psalm 139:1-6 – God knows you deeply and individually.

  • Galatians 6:4 – “Pay careful attention to your own work…”

Discussion Points:

  • How does social media affect your sense of identity?

  • Why is it hard to celebrate other people without comparing?

  • What does it look like to be confident in your unique identity?

Activity: Mirror Exercise – Write positive, truthful affirmations based on Scripture on mirrors/posters.

Discussion Points:

  • What are your gifts, passions, or interests?

  • How do your talents reflect God's design for you?

  • How can you use them to serve others?

Activity: Pass out a purpose worksheet – ask questions like: “What brings you joy?” “What are you good at?” “Where do you see a need in the world?”
